He received Dr. Mallikarjun Mansur National Youth Award with Pt. L.K Pandit in the presence of Padmashri Pt. Venkatesh Kumar and Pt. Rajshekhar Mansur in 2013

Won gold medal in “Harballabh sangeet samaroha” held at Jalandhar, Punjab.

Government of Karnataka has released two of his Kannada Dasavaani CDs and Dr. Vijaykumar has directed music and sung for the same and this CD launched by Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka.

Government of Karnataka released Marathi Abhang CD of Dr. Vijaykumar Patil and Pt. Suresh Wadkar Dr. Vijaykumar has directed music for the same.

Won first prize in state and national youth festival held at Annamalai University, Tamilnadu and also felicitated by Governor of Tamilnadu on the same occasion.

He won first prize in National Level Natya Sangeet competition conducted by All India Radio.
